MEET COACH Val

HI, I'M VAL

I’m Val Whiting, a Certified Mental Performance Consultant®, CMPC, former WNBA player, and two-time NCAA champion from Stanford.

Basketball gave me the opportunity to compete at the highest levels. At Stanford, I played in three Final Fours, won four Pac-12 titles, and graduated as the conference’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder. I was a two-time All-American, two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year, National Player of the Year finalist, and ESPY Award nominee.

Now, I use my experience as an elite athlete, along with my training in sport and performance psychology, to help female athletes build confidence, handle pressure, bounce back from mistakes, and trust themselves when it matters most.

As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant®, I bring both lived experience and evidence-based mental performance tools to my work. I also serve on the National Advisory Board for the Positive Coaching Alliance and have mentored thousands of athletes, helping them succeed both on and off the court.
